Featuring the works of American sculptor Charles Umlauf, the Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum is located on the east end of Zilker Metropolitan Park and is open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday. The six-acre (2 ha) garden boasts 56 sculptures, a museum, water features and wheelchair accessible pathways and facilities.
Zilker Metropolitan Park is located east of the North Mo-Pac Expressway on Barton Springs Road and is home to the Zilker Botanical Gardens, the Austin Nature and Science Center and the Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum. The spring-fed Barton Springs Pool offers a place for a swim and the park also provides recreational spaces for rugby, football, baseball,soccer, hiking, canoeing and biking.
Located in Zilker Metropolitan Park, the Zilker Botanical Gardens features 31 acres
(10 ha) of diverse topography and botanical displays. Visitors can take self-guided tours of cactus and succulent gardens, traditional Oriental gardens, a butterfly trail and a unique pioneer village showcasing structures and gardens relating to the 19th century.
